System Add-Ons
Whole-Home Humidifiers
A whole-home humidifier is installed directly into your central air system, distributing water vapor directly into the air ducts. The homeowner can then control the amount of humidity through the thermostat, ensuring an even (and healthy) level throughout the year.
-
It’s called “bypass” because it utilizes a bypass (not powered - air passes through a water membrane) duct to circulate air through a water panel or pad, where the air picks up moisture before being redistributed throughout your home.
-
A power humidifier has the same basic elements of a bypass unit with one extra feature — a fan. The fan-powered humidifier works as a standalone unit without the need for a furnace fan.
It directly controls the moisture levels in the air and distributes the air throughout the home all by itself.
-
Steam humidifiers are appliances that use heating elements to boil water and release the resulting steam into the air. The steam increases the humidity levels in the home, creating a more comfortable and healthier environment.
Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERVs)
Maintaining indoor air quality is vital to the health and well-being of a building’s occupants. An Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) allows fresh air into a building, while retaining pre-conditioned heating or cooling without excessive energy usage.
-
Heat recovery ventilator systems recover heat from outgoing stale air and transfer it to incoming fresh air, reducing energy consumption and maintaining a comfortable indoor temperature. If you live in a colder climate with a longer heating season, the HRV can provide comfort and efficiency.
-
An ERV can provide year-round efficiency much the same way as Heat Recovery Ventilators. Energy recovery ventilators recover heat energy and ensure proper humidity levels in the space while supplying clean air throughout your home.
-
This product provides an alternative, less expensive solution to bring fresh, clean air into your home. Although it doesn’t have the heat exchange capabilities of an ERV or HRV, fresh air is introduced in a controlled manner.
Indoor Air Quality Solutions
We spend 90 percent of our lives indoors, yet most of us seldom spare a thought for the quality of the air we breathe there. In the last several years, a growing body of scientific evidence has indicated that the air within homes and other buildings can be more seriously polluted than the outdoor air in even the largest and most industrialized cities.
-
Electrostatic filters are a simple and cost-effective way to reduce harmful air pollutants in your home.
These work by making small particles attach to larger particles that then get trapped in the filter.
-
Bipolar ionization is an air-cleaning technology used in HVAC systems or portable air cleaners. It disperses positively and negatively charged ions into a space, which helps remove contaminants and pollutants from indoor air. The ions attach to small airborne particles, making them easier to clean out of the air. The particles bind together and become too heavy to remain airborne.
-
Ultraviolet light does an extremely effective job at disinfecting biological pollutants in your home. Simply install into your Evaporator Coil or your supply duct and it continues to supply clean air into your home.
